Nigeria

We are hoping that yesterday's stellar start to the week spills over to today's session, but block trading is once again expected to dominate activity.

Kenya

•  Safcom (+1.3%) was once again the most active counter yesterday

The market opened the day with the leading movers being on a general decline. Overall, the session is quiet. Kenya Power declined 0.9% on foreign investor trading. Centum also retreated 0.9%. Safaricom was unchanged at KES 15.50. Housing Finance is unchanged after announcing 1H15 results. EABL notched 1.7% on thin volumes. TransCentury, which has been rising on thin volumes, fell 8.8% - on thin volumes. EA Cables also fell 1.3%. Kenya Airways added 1.5% as a Parliamentary committee meeting to investigate the airline continued.
