Nigeria

•  ASI +43bps, $18.5mill
•  Banks (+0.37%) had a decent day while Consumers (-0.46%) closed lower

Activity picked up yesterday thanks to a few crosses in the bigger names, but it was still nothing to write home about. Much of the same is expected today.

Kenya

•  NSE20 -11bps, $10.3mill
•  Locals dominated proceedings yesterday with a cross in Centum

The market continues to be bearish with safcom today down 2.24% on a volume of 1.1m at shs 15.45. the biggest loser at the moment is eabl, down 4.35% on a volume of 69.2k. KNRE is also down 3.5% on 2,600 shares follwed by centum down 2.4% on 143,000 shares at shs 62. Equity bank remains fairly stable at shs 47.50/48 with most of the buyers currently being foreigners. The counter has moved 158,000 shares at 47.75.
