Nothing happened in Gaborone.
A quiet day in Kenya as foreign investors continue to be net sellers. There was some decent action in the banks with KNCB closing unchanged at KES41.25 while Equity Bank fell to KES39.75 (went ex-div). Safcom was quieter than it’s been in recent sessions and ticked slightly lower to KES16.45.
A quiet day in Port Louis. Nothing exciting to write home about.
Another quiet day in Lagos which was not helped due to the holiday in South Africa. Local demand once again drove activity in the banks (+2.04%) with action, as always, focused on Zenith Bank (+3.13%, N13.19) and GTB (+4.53%, N16.38). The consumers fell by 1.75% although outside of NB (-95bps, N104.00) the sector was dead.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A quiet start to the week on the ZSE with no action in any of the large cap names.
