An absolutely dire day in Nairobi with some tiny action in EQBNK and Safcom the only names worth mentioning as 1.4m shares and 1.9m shares changed hands in the names respectively.
A very quiet day in Port Louis while the Semdex ground its way higher. About half the total turnover went through in MCBG (+80bps, Rs215.00).
Back to the new normal in Lagos today with not a single name breaking the $1m turnover mark. On the positive side, banks managed to close the day higher with the sector gaining +3.12% thanks to UBA (+4.85%), GTB (+4.45%) and Zenith (+1.59%). Consumers (-0.18%) closed slightly lower with some weakness in NB (-0.73%). On the economic front, inflation for November increased +18.5%.

The ZSE finally showed some signs of softening after the strong recent rally while volumes remain decent. Today we saw action dominated by Barclays (3.2c) and Seedco (101c).
