Botswana: DCI Unch, USD 126k

FNBB was the only real active name on the day as it accounted for 85% of turnover.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.3%, USD 6.2m

The index closed the day positive while telecom giant, Safcom, was down 0.8% as it had the highest turnover of USD 2.6m. Equity Bank was the second most active name on the day with turnover of USD 2m. Foreign participation was 51% on the day.

Mauritius: Closed for the day.

Nigeria: ASI -0.34%, USD 21.5m

The market closed lower on the day, with only the Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors closing higher. Block trades in NB, Zentih and Guaranty dominated the action on the day, with all three names accounting for approximately 60% of turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.06%, USD 2.79m

Not a bad day to close off the last day of the month in Harare as the industrial index dipped to 0.17 points as the mining index closed flat. Old Mutual (520.17c, $1.3m) was the major mover accounting for 45% of turnover on the day, while the likes of Econet (70.00c, $787k) taking up 28% of volume. The only other names worth mentioning were Seed Co (200.00c, $375k) and Innscor (80.25c, $177k) with the rest of the market extremely quiet.
