A cross in FNBB (301t) the only action today.
A very quiet start to the month in Nairobi. Once again we saw some decent action in Safcom (+50bps, KES20.00) while EABL (-1.6%, KES244) saw 1 decent cross. The rest of the market was non-existent.
It was once again all about MCBG as a rather impressive 218k shares changed hands in the name, while there was also some action in Sanlam as 167k shares traded.
The month started the same way as November ended – on a dull note. In fact, one of the highlights was some local crossing yet again in WemaBank. In normal trading we saw some action in GTB (+6bps, N22.80) and NB (-1.37%, N143.02). The rest of the market was exceptionally dull with little direction.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another decent day in Harare thanks to some action in Delta ($753k) and Old Mutual ($258k).
