Botswana: DCI +0.46%, USD 337k

Letshego was once again the driving force behind what little activity there was as 1.5m shares changed hands in the name.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.39%, USD 3.1m

Another dull day in Nairobi from an activity point of view while foreigners (68.8%) dominated what little turnover there was. Safcom had a solid day from a performance point of view as the telco managed to close +2.4% higher on tiny volume of 2.8m shares. The two major banking stocks ended the day mixed (on dire volumes) with KNCB closing +0.8% higher while EQBNK fell -2.0%.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.08%, USD 170k

An absolutely dire day from an activity point of view in Port Louis.

Nigeria: ASI +0.64%, USD 8.8m

Much of the same in Lagos unfortunately with crosses in GTB ($3.9m) and NB ($1.5m) the only names worth mentioning from an activity point if view as the lack of interest continues. Banking stocks managed to close in positive territory thanks to gains in Zenith (+1.55%) and GTB (+0.97%). Consumers (+0.33%) also closed higher with NB (+0.24%) closing on a positive note.

Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.10%, USD 47k

Nothing to report from Harare.
