Botswana: DCI -0.07%, USD 3m

A very active day in Gaborone yet again, thanks to some crosses in Sefalana (1.9m shares) and Choppies (1.7m shares).

Kenya: NSE 20 +1.25%, USD 7.4m

Another decent day to end the week in Nairobi as foreigners continue to dominate proceedings. The two major banking stocks had a stronng day and closed higher on foreign demand with KNCB gaining +2.6% while EQBNK closed +1.3% higher. Safcom closed the day lower on foreign selling with the telco falling -0.3%. Not much to report from the rest of the market.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.87%, USD 1.6m

A soliday day to end the week from an activity point of view in Port Louis with some action in MCBG (140k shares), SBMH (22.8m shares) and NMH (351k shares) dominating proceedings. NMH (+7.3%) closed the day very strong with foreigners driving the name higher.

Nigeria: ASI -0.07%, USD 10m

On the face of it, it was a rather quiet day, but there were two large off-market crosses in Zenith with the first cross being 120m shares at N11.00 while the second cross was 90m shares at N11.00. There was also some action in FBNH ($4.7m), GTB ($1.2m) and Seplat ($1m). Banks closed the day slightly lower with the sector falling -0.12% thanks to Zenith (-1.23%) and Access (-0.73%). Consumers (+0.23%) managed to close higher thanks to IntBrew (+4.00%) and NB (+1.00%).

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.14%, USD 216k

Another quiet day in Harare to end yet another slow week with Old Mutual ($206k) the only name worth mentioning.
