Some activity in Turnstar the only name worth mentioning as 1.7m shares traded in the name on an otherwise dull day.
A rather uneventful day in Kenya with foreigners heavily skewed to the sell side. The banks finally got some respite with KNCB gaining 2.5% to KES40.75 while Equity Bank closed up 60bps at KES41.25. EABL shed 2.4% to KES276 while Safcom continues on its merry way as it gained another 60bps to KES16.25.
Not much on the go in Port Louis with some mild activity in NMH (462k shares), SBMH (6.8m shares) and MCBG (22k shares).
Yet another woefully quiet day in Lagos. There was an early cross in Wapco (unch, N90.00) but that really was about it for the day. Banks closed the day marginally in the green although there is a distinct lack of sentiment and direction as only FBNH (-79bps, N5.00) traded any decent volume. Consumers fell by 74bps with most names weak on small volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing to write about on a shocking day in Zimbabwe.
