An absolutely dire day in Gaborone with value traded amounting to a paltry USD 3k.
A solid enough end to the week with turnover amounting to $10.1m as locals were once again in charge. Centum (-7.2%) came under some serious pressure on the back of local selling as 3.42m shares changed hands in the counter. Local selling in Safcom (-2.7%) drove the telco lower as foreigners dominated purchases in the name. Co-op Bank (-2.3%) was surprisingly active thanks to local investors as 3.7m shares traded. EQBNK (+2.9%) managed to bounce after it's recent hammering and closed at KES 53.50.
A rather average day to end the week in Port Louis as turnover amounted to USD 1.02m thanks largely to SBM (9.73m shares) and MCBG (35k shares) while 31k shares traded in NMH.
A rather slow end to the week with nothing major to report as turnover amounted to $16.9m. There was some activity in Access ($3.42m), Oando ($1.89m), GTB ($1.72m) and FBNH ($1.44m). Banks had a good day with the Index gaining +0.91% thanks to GTB (+2.08%), Access (+1.60%) and ETI (+0.89%). Consumers (+0.71%) also closed stronger with good performances in 7UP (+10.25%) and Guinness (+3.83%).
