It was another quiet day in Botswana, with BIHL closing down 0.18%, which in turn brought the market lower by 0.12%
The market ended the week in the green as Equity Bank which had the highest turnover closed 1.2% higher on the day. Equity Bank, Safcom and KenolKobil all accounted for 57% of turnover, while foreign participation reduced to 32% from 57%.
It was a positive return in Mauritius after the 2 day holiday. MCBG was the most active name on the day as it accounted for 68% of turnover.
The market closed the week higher on another quiet day, with only the Consumers and Oil & Gas sectors closing lower. The top 5 names by value traded were all banks – Zenith, Fbnh, Access, Guaranty and FCMB – all accounting for 52% of turnover.

The index closed the week lower on increased turnover compared to the previous day. Delta, Hippo, Econet, Old Mutual and Seed Co were the most active names on the day, all accounting for a total of 87% of turnover.
