The index closed negative on improved turnover. BCBB, NAP and BTCL all dominated the turnover, accounting for a total of 74% of total market turnover on the day.
The market closed the week on a negative note, as foreign participation was at 50%. KNCB, Safcom, EABL and KNOC were the dominant names on the day, all accounting for a total of 82% of turnover.
The market returned to its positive ways on the day, gaining 3bps. MCB accounted for 54% of turnover as its price remained unchanged at Rs270.00.
Once again, it was a negative day in Nigeria, with the banks witnessing quite a sell-off, shedding 2.07% on the day. The top 5 trades on the day were Nestle, FBNH, Guaranty, Unilever and UBA, together accounting for a total of 54% of turnover.

The negative streak continued today in Harare, though marginal. Econet, BAT and Old Mutual dominated the action on the day, accounting for 91% of total market turnover.
