The little volume the stock exchange experienced was divided mostly between two names, Letlole ($5.96k) accounting for 50% of the market and BTCL ($3.51k) about 30% of tioday's turnover, the rest of the exchange was dull.
Nothing particularly exciting in Nairobi as most of today’s action was in Kenol (-2.0%, KES15.00), Equity (unch, KES43.00), NIC (-0.7%), KES35.25) and Safaricom (+0.9%, KES28.75). Foreign participation was down to 50% compared to yesterday’s 55%.
Not a bad day in Port Louis with Rs77m exchanging hands. MCBG (Rs274.00) declined by 0.4% and SBMH (Rs7.74) following suit retreating by 1.3% both accounting for a combined 56% of the market. Grit (Rs1.45) was the other big contributor while the rest of the market was mostly in the green on low volumes.
A lukewarm day in Lagos with some action in GTB ($4.5m), Nestle ($1.5m), UBA ($1.3m) and Zenith ($1.3m) driving proceedings. Banking stocks (+2.74%) and Consumers (+0.94%) both closed the day higher.

Market turnover declined by almost half in Harare seeing Delta ($1.16m) and Innscor ($1.01m) accounting for the bulk of the market accounting for 38% and 33% respectively. Other names worth a mention were BATZ ($314k), Econet ($232k) and Old Mutual ($151k) while the rest of the market was quiet.
