There was finally some form of life in Gaborone thanks to some action in Stanchart (1m shares) and Barclays (502k shares).
A very impressive end to the week in Nairobi, thanks once again to a large cross in Safcom ($12m) as the telco continues to dominate on the turnover front. Foreign demand pushed the name +1.1% higher. There was also some very solid action in KenolKobil ($8m) and EQBNK ($1.9m) while the rest of the market was relatively quiet.
A very active day in Port Louis thanks to some solid action in the usually illiquid GAMMA as 687k shares changed hands in the name. MCBG (+0.10%) reached yet another record high of Rs 255.25 with 54k trading on the day.
Another pleasing day on the activity front in Lagos as banking stocks continue to dominate proceedings with action in Zenith ($5.3m), GTB ($4.1m), Access ($2m), DangCem ($1.9m) and Nestle ($1.2m) leading the way. Banking stocks closed slightly higher with the sector gaining +0.31%, but this was solely driven by ETI (+10.23%) as the rest of the tier-1 banks closed lower. Consumers closed +0.01% higher thanks to Nestle (+0.78%).

A very impressive day on both the activity and performace fronts to cap off the week in Harare thanks to some solid action in Econet ($2.7m) and Innscor ($1.1m)
