Another stellar day in Gaborone thanks to chunky crosses in FNBB (3.6m shares), Sefalana (1m shares), Turnstar (4.5m shares) and Sechaba (440k shares).
Kenya: NSE 20 -0.16%, USD 16.8m
An extremely active day in Nairobi thanks to a few large foreign crosses in EQBNK as 12.7m shares traded in the name. There was also some solid action in banking counterpart KNCB as 11.3m shares traded. Foreigners dominated both sides of Safcom as 16m shares changed hands in the telco. A little bit of action in EABL as 374k shares traded.
Mauritius: Semdex -0.22%, USD 4.1m
An extremely active day in Port Louis thanks to crosses in market heavyweights MCBG (359k shares) and SBMH (45.9m shares) while there was some activity in Ciel (1.4m shares) and Alteo (173k shares) as well.
Nigeria: ASI -0.62%, USD 18.9m
After a frantic start (from an activity point of view) thanks to a large cross in GTB ($9.1m) things slowed down drastically as turnover amounted to $18.9m with some small activity in Zenith ($2.5m) and Access ($1m) the only other names worth mentioning. Banks (-2.20%) came under some pressure thanks to GTB (-4.36%), UBA (-2.04%) and Zenith (-1.81%). Consumers (-0.40%) also closed lower with Cadbury (-4.37%) and IntBrew (-2.89%) dragging the sector lower.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.17%, USD 1.4m
Activity returned to a pleasing $1.5m today with activity going through in a number of names. The bulk of the action took place in CBZ (10c) and Innscor (60.67c).
