The little volume the stock exchange experienced was dividsed mostly across two names, FNBB ($118k) and Letshego ($94k) accounting for a combined total of 96% of the market.
Another positive day in Nairobi with turnover increasing by 56% from the previous day. Safcom dominated the action on the day, accounting for45% of turnover. Eqbnk and Kncb were the other dominant names, accounting for a total of 27% of turnover. The three afore-mentioned names all closed higher, gaining 4.7%, 1.8% and 1.2% on the day.
The Semdex strengthened with Rs38.5m changing hands geared towards the banking duo of MCBG which was unchanged trading at Rs279.00 and SBMH following suit untouched at Rs7.60 accounting for a combined 51% of total market turnover. Alteo was at Rs34.50 advancing 0.4%, Ciel traded at Rs7.38 declining 0.3% and Terra ended the session Rs33.00 in the positive.
the market closed marginally higher on the day, recovering from the previous day’s profit taking. Dangcem, Nestle, NB and Guaranty together accounted for a total of 68% of turnover.

Turnover on the Harare bourse recovered today with Econet leading the way trading $8.4m accounting for 68% of the market trading at 86.02c. Delta (125.86c, $2.71m), PPC (176.00c, $751kc) and Seedco (167.16c, $229k) were the only other names that traded positively on the day after President Mugabe resigned.
