Things went from bad to worse in Gaborone today as BTCL ($19k) accounting for 82% of the market.
An improvement in Port Louis as the market turnover amounted to Rs53.4m geared towards the financial sector with MCBG retreating -1.1% trading at Rs270.00. The only other names that had some sort of worthwhile day were Sun Resorts (unch, Rs49.00) and Ciel (+0.3%, Rs7.20).
A positive day in Nigeria as all indices were up bar the Oil & Gas index which was dragged lower by Mobil. The Consumers (+0.89%), boosted by NB, and Banks (+0.63%) led the gains on the day. Foreign crosses in Zenith dominated the action on the day, accounting for approximately 33% of market turnover.

The main index in Harare gained a notable 18bps with turnover gearing towards the usual suspects making the most waves as Econet (109.58c, $666k), Delta (173.25c, $614k) Axia (19.79c, $529k) and Old Mutual (537.97, $628k) all had a semi decent day.
