Botswana: DCI +0.35%, USD 6.7m
Letshego accounted the lion's share of activity today. The stock traded a mammoth 16.5m shares to close unchanged at 255t. Other movers included FSG, Primetime and Turnstar
Kenya: NSE 20 -0.41%, USD 6.7m
Equity turnover slumped 19.4% due to diminishing foreign participation. Centum and EABL were the top movers of the session gaining 2.6% and 2.5% respectively (accounted for 60.3% of market activity). Foreign investor buying steered KCB to a 52 week high of KES65 on the back of 3.2m shares traded.
Mauritius: Semdex -0.47%, USD 3.9m
MCBG accounted 86.4% of total market turnover after the counter traded a total of 624k shares to close unchanged at Rs199.00. SBM reached a low of Rs0.94 before closing firm at Rs0.96 on the back of 14m shares traded. NMH closed down by 2.0% at Rs61.75 after trading a paltry 1.1k shares.
Nigeria: ASI +0.74%, USD 23.4m
The Lagos bourse opened the week on the front foot as turnover amounted to a respectable $23.4m. The most active names were FBNH (-0.11%, N9.50), GTB (+2.25%, N28.64) and Stanbic (unch, N30) in the banking names as the banking index closed up 1.88%. Other movers included Wapco (+3.34%, N93.02), Flourmills (-2.88%, N33.02) and UACN (+1.90, N38.01). The consumer index continued its upward trend to close up 0.59% on the back of trades in Nestle (-5%, N991.85) and NB (+3.80, N169.99).

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.33%, USD 1.3m
Trades in Natfoods carried the day as the counter contributed 75% ($948k) of total market turnover. A total of 300k shares traded in the name to close at 316c. Econet contributed $298k towards turnover on the back of 596k shares traded at 50c. Generally the market was very quiet as active names Delta (unch, 103c) and Ok Zim (Unch, 11c) among others, failed to register any trades.
