The market remains dead.
ARM was among the top movers of the day with the counter closing down 5.88% at KES74.50 - on foreign selling. Other movers included KNCB (unch, KES65), Equity bank (-0.54%, KES46) and Safcom (-4.29%, KES16.75) trading 4.18m, 2.32m and 49.33m shares respectively. Foreigners were mainly geared towards the sell side of these counters as they continue to capitalize on previous weeks rallies.
SBMH mirrored its eves losses to close down a further 1.1% at Rs0.93 on a total of 11.3m shares traded. MCBG closed unchanged at Rs199.50 after touching a high of Rs200.00, the counter traded a total of 92k shares.
Another boring day in Lagos as the market doesnt really know which way to go. The banks gained 1.13% as the sector remains unconvincing. There was some action in Tier 1 names such as GTB (+88bps, N28.60 released Q1 results) and Zenith (-75bps, N22.49). Consumers fell by 1.79% although volumes in the sector were nothing to write home about.

Index closed the session in negative territory as Econet emerged the winner of the day ($246k). It was another dire day with turnover amounting to a paltry $708k. The top movers included Delta (+0.53%, 104c) and Econet (unch, 49c) trading 115k and 503k shares respectively.
