Paltry volumes were seen in BIHL, Letshego and Sechaba.
Kenya: NSE 20 +0.87%, USD 8.5m
A solid day to end a rather slow week in Nairobi as total value traded increased to $8.5m with foreigners dominating proceedings. Foreign selling pressure in Safcom drove the telco -0.4% lower as 14.16m shares traded. There was some action in the two banking heavyweights as 2.45m KNCB traded while 2.58m EQBNK traded. A late cross in EABL boosted activity in the brewer as 368k shares changed hands.
Mauritius: Semdex +0.15%, USD 1.29m
The indices are making a promising recovery after most of them closed in the green, the first time in weeks. MCBG remained firm at RS198 and SBM at RS1.00, trading 71k and 31k shares respectively. Rogers continued its climb to close at an all-time high of Rs28.50, with 76k shares traded.
Nigeria: ASI +0.42%, USD 28.4m
A much better day to end the week with turnover increasing to a very respectable $28.4m. The highlight of the session was an off-market cross of 400m Oando. There were some decent crosses in the likes of Guinness ($5.47m), Seplat ($3.18m), Unilever ($3.00m) and Access ($2.01m). Banks capped off a good week with the sector gaining +1.52% today thanks to Zenith (+4.04%) and GTB (+2.04%). Consumers (+0.31%) also closed higher with good perfromances from Dangote Sugar (+4.93%), Flour Mills (+4.89%), Unilever (+3.66%), UACN (+2.81%) and Guinness (+2.34%).

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.11%, USD 1.1m
Slow day to end off the week, activity was buoyed by Innscor, Econet and Delta. Econet closed the week off flat at 54c on the back of 800,000 shares traded, while Innscor and Delta registered 850,655 and 132,135 shares respectively.
