FNBB accounted 99.93% of total market turnover. The stock traded a total of 2,744,410 shares to close at 365t.
Activity increased in Nairboi as locals continue to dominate proceedings with turnover increasing to $5.9m. A large local cross in Centum drove proceedings as a total of 1.81m shares traded in the name. Foreigners drove activity in EABL as the brewer gained +0.6% on 339k shares. EQBNK closed the day unchanged while KNCB fell -1.7%. Foreign investor demand drove Safcom +0.7% higher on 5.26m shares.
Indices closed the session in the red as BBC, LUX and PBL accounted for 52.7% of total turnover. BBC, the biggest loser of the day, lost 28cts to close at RS6.00 on the back of 1.2m shares traded. MCBG and SBM slid by 0.5% and 1% to close the day off at Rs197.00 and Rs1.00 respectively. Rogers continued its climb, to close at a new all-time high of Rs31.05.
A better day in Lagos as turnover increased to $24.5m thanks to some crosses in Unilever ($3.27m), Access ($2.92m), Nestle ($2.38m), Presco ($2.05m) and NB ($2.03m). Banks closed in positive territory with the sector gaining +0.32% thanks to ETI (+2.42%) and Access (+2.29%). Consumers (+0.27%) also closed higher thanks to PZ Cussons (+5.00%), Dangote Sugar (+4.99%) and Flour Mills (+2.79%). Unfortunately it was a rather dull day from a news point of view.

Another slow day in Harare, as only paltry volumes were seen across the board. Econet closed weak at 53c on a volume of 55,639 shares traded, the counter continues to be well offered at 55c. Delta, Ok Zim and Seedco remained unchanged, closing in at 111c, 14c and 102c respectively.
