A very slow start to the week in Gaborone with nothing substantial to report.
A rather uneventful start on the Kenyan bourse today. There was some nice action in Safcom (-60bps, KES17.45) and EABL (unch, KES274.00) while the rest of the market was relatively non-existent.
A very solid start to the week in Port Louis thanks to market heavyweaight MCBG as 231k shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market was very dull.
Another dull start to the week in Lagos with just 1 or 2 crosses going through. Banks closed up 1.75% although outside of GTB (+4.35%, N24.00) the sector was rather uneventful. The consumers closed marginally in the red with some nice crosses going through in Nestle (+25bps, N852.10). The cements saw some action with both Dangcem (-16bps, N191.20) and Wapco (-5.03%, N60.45) fairly active.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Another slow start to the week in Harare with nothing much to report other than a small bit of activity in Simbisa ($195k).
