A large foreign cross in Safcom drove proceedings today as a total of 17.7m shares traded in the name with the telco gaining +1.0% as total market turnover amounted to $7.5m. There was also a decent cross in BATK with the seller being foreign while the buyer was local as 132k shares traded in the name. Foreigners dominated both sides of EABL as 373k shares traded in the brewer. KNCB and EQBNK saw some average volume as 1.5m shares and 1.1m shares traded in the counters respectively.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.27%, USD 790k

Not much on the go in Nairobi as turnover amounted to $790k with some activity in MCBG (32k shares) and LUX (68k shares) the only names worth mentioning.

Nigeria: Closed today.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.01%, USD 613k

A slowish start to the week in Harare as turnover amounted to $613k thanks to Delta ($204k), NatFoods ($150k) and Econet ($126k) while the rest of the market was very quiet.
