Nothing to report from Gaborone.
A dull end to a pretty dull week in Nairobi. There was a large local bookover in ARM which contributed highly to the total turnover. In normal trading the bulk of the action went through in Safcom (unch, KES20.75) and KNCB (+3.5%, KES29.75).
Another average day to end the week in Port Louis with MCBG once again the only name worth mentioning as 76k shares changed hands in the name.
A chunky cross in the normally extremely illiquid StdInsure was the main focal point today. In normal trading we saw a slight resilience in the banks (+59bps) while consumers (-9bps) closed marginally in the red. The most active stocks today were GTB (-60bps, N21.48) and Zenith Bank (+2.93%, N15.13).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A somewhat quieter day in Harare although the index continues along its merry run thanks to local buyers. The major trades today went through in Old Mutual (322c) with the major names rather quiet.
