A very impressive end to the week in Gaborone thanks to a large cross in WIL as 7.3m shares changed hands in the name while the rest of the market was quiet.
A rather dire day to end the week in Nairobi with some small activity in EABL (-0.8%) and KNCB (unch) the only names worth mentioning, with the other market heavyweights seeing very small volumes.
A decent day to end the week in Port Louis from an activity point of view with MCBG once again the dominant force behind turnover with 108k shares changing hands in the name.
A woeful end to one the most dire weeks of the year thus far in Nigeria as the interest continues to weaken by the day. Both banks (-52bps) and consumers (-29bps) finished the day lower as the lack of any buying interest persists. There were no major crosses or major activity to report on.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some action in Econet ($620k) drove proceedings today while the rest of the market was rather quiet as the Industrial Index continues to grind higher.
