Some decent activity in Botswana today with local participants mostly involved in names like BIHL (1748t), FNBB (304t), Letshego (240t) and Sefalana (1400t).
An extremely quiet day in Nairobi with nothing much going on. Outside of some very mild trading in Safcom (unch, KES20.25) and EABL (-1.9%, KES264) the market was dead.
The indices continued on their upward trend although volumes were rather muted. MCBG (+60bps, Rs214.25) and SBMH (+1.2%, Rs6.88) both released results at the beginning of the day.
One can only shake one’s head as the market gets more apathetic by the day.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Some small activity in Innscor ($258k) tried to get things going on a rather dull day in Harare while the rest of the market was rather quiet.
