Local crosses in Engen (960t) was about the only action on a very dull day.
Much of the same in Nairobi as foreigners dominated proceedings ever so slightly. Safcom (unch) and EQBNK (-0.8%) were the most active names on the day as 8m shares and 3.3m shares changed hands in the counters respectively. EABL (-0.4%) closed the day lower on the back of foreign selling while KNCB closed +0.8% higher on dire volume.
The Mauritian bourse continues to grind higher although volumes remain on the low side. MCBG (+70bps, Rs216.00) had another solid day while SBMH closed unchanged at Rs6.90. Rogers and Co also saw some action as it fell by 2.6% to Rs26.20.
The paint continues to dry rather slowly in Lagos with GTB ($1.9m) the only name to break the $1m mark thanks to a late cross. Banking stocks closed the day +0.19% higher thanks to ETI (+2.99%). Consumers stocks (-0.27%) closed the day in negative territory on dire volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
The ZSE continues to rally with some decent volumes going through today for a change. We saw some nice trades in Axia (5.8c) and Econet (27.5c).
