Local crosses in Engen (960t) was about the only action on a very dull day.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.35%, USD 5.3m

Much of the same in Nairobi as foreigners dominated proceedings ever so slightly. Safcom (unch) and EQBNK (-0.8%) were the most active names on the day as 8m shares and 3.3m shares changed hands in the counters respectively. EABL (-0.4%) closed the day lower on the back of foreign selling while KNCB closed +0.8% higher on dire volume.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.19%, USD 1.2m

The Mauritian bourse continues to grind higher although volumes remain on the low side. MCBG (+70bps, Rs216.00) had another solid day while SBMH closed unchanged at Rs6.90. Rogers and Co also saw some action as it fell by 2.6% to Rs26.20.

Nigeria: ASI -0.21%, USD 3.7m

The paint continues to dry rather slowly in Lagos with GTB ($1.9m) the only name to break the $1m mark thanks to a late cross. Banking stocks closed the day +0.19% higher thanks to ETI (+2.99%). Consumers stocks (-0.27%) closed the day in negative territory on dire volumes.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.72%, USD 1.2m

The ZSE continues to rally with some decent volumes going through today for a change. We saw some nice trades in Axia (5.8c) and Econet (27.5c).
