Britam (+1.0%) managed to close the day higher on the back of foreign purchases.
Another slightly weak day in Port Louis on the back of falls in MCBG (-25bps, Rs203), Gamma Civic (-1.05%, Rs47) and Terra (-45bps, Rs33.25) which was partially offset by BBCL (+2.42%, Rs6.76). SBMH closed unchanged at Rs1.04.
Another exceptionally dull day in Lagos as turnover amounted to $12.8m. There was some activity in Zenith ($2.08m), NB ($1.73m), GTB ($1.49m) and Oando ($1.20m) the only names worth mentioning. Banks closed slightly higher with the Index gaining +0.05% thanks to UBA (+4.84%). Consumers (-0.61%) continued to fall with Flour Mills (-7.12%) and NB (-0.61%) dragging the Index lower.
