A very active day in Gaborone with some chunky trading in Choppies (420t) the main focal point. There was also some decent activity in Letshego (273t).
Foreign selling for the 3rd consecutive day pushed the NSE 20 lower. The most active name was Equity Bank which witnessed some large foreign selling although the name ended the day unchanged at KES 50.50. Foreign trading in BATK and Foreign selling in BMBC were also notable. Safcom slipped by 90bps to KES12.75 while KNCB ended the day unchanged at KES58.50.
It was a rather average day in Port Louis as turnover fell to USD 1.02m. The big names were rather quiet as only 14k shares and 154k shares traded in MCBG and SBM respectively.
Some chunky action in Econet (78.1c mostly local selling, foreign buying) today as the name continues to trade strong which is opposite to the rest of the ZSE. There was also some action in Delta (126c) and Padenga (7.51c).
