A rather average start to the week in Gaborone with some action in Sefalana driving proceedings as 355k shares traded.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.42%, USD 4.1m

A quiet start to the week. The only real excitement today went through in EqBnk with the banking group closing unchanged at KES26.75. There was more mild action in KNCB (-1.9%, KES25.25) and EABL (+40bps, KES285.00).

Mauritius: Semdex +0.01%, USD 530k

A very slow start to the week in Port Louis with NMH the most active stock on the day as 260k shares changed hands.

Nigeria: ASI +0.06%, USD 6.2m

Another quiet start to a week in Lagos while the market remains directionless. Banks closed the session down 34bps although volumes were uneventful across the sector. Consumers did gain 44bps with some mild activity in NB (+1.03%, N145.00) about the only stock worth writing home about.
