A better day in Gaborone with some activity in Letshego and Cresta as 1.5m shares and 2.3m shares changed hands in the names respectively.
Not much to report from Nairobi as turnover amounted to a dismal $2.9m. Safcom was the most active counter on the day as 6m shares traded in the telco. The two major banking stocks ended the day mixed with EQBNK falling -0.6% while KNCB gained +0.6%.
A decent day to end the week in Port Louis thanks mostly to some action in MCBG as 121k shares traded in the name while there was also a small bit of activity in Alteo (225k shares) and SBMH (8m shares).
From bad to worse in Lagos from an activity point of view with turnover amounting to $5m, capping off what was a very uneventful week with GTB ($1m) the only name with any form of activity. Banks finally managed to close in positive territory with the sector gaining +1.84% thanks to Zenith (+2.14%) and Access (+5.01%). Consumers (-0.46%) closed the day lower with some pressure on NB (-0.57%).
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing much to report from Harare with some small activity in FBC Holdings ($181k) and Delta ($153k).
