A nice cross of 3m Choppies (410t) was the talk of the town today. The rest of the market was dead.
Outside of a couple of book-overs the market was generally dull. The book-overs went through in names like Safcom (unch, KES16.80) and Equity Bank (+60bps, KES40.50). Normal trading was really dull and outside of KNCB (unch, KES41.75) and the other 2 names the market was effectively closed.
A very solid day in Port Louis from an activity point of view with some action in PBL and MCBG as 63k shares and 73k shares changed hands in the names respectively.
Another extremely dull day in Lagos with the market tip-toeing marginally higher. The only real excitement today was a cross in Nestle (unch, N690) with consumers rising by 1.45% while banks rose by 36bps. Please remember though that this was on extremely low volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A better day in Harare but still nothing too exciting with some activity in Delta ($387k) and Simbisa ($128k) leading the way.
