Botswana: DCI unch, USD 415k

BTCL and Chobe accounted for 80% of the total market turnover as the counters exchanged 1.3m shares at 1884t and 170k shares at 842t respectively.

Kenya: NSE 20 +1.45%, USD 14.79m

Red flashed across almost the whole board today on the NSE, Safcom (-3.06%, KES23.75) traded sirca 33% of the market helped by the likes of COOP (0.32%, KES15.70), EQBNK (0.61%, KES41.00) and CFCB (-3.55%, KES80.46) all contibuting to the bourse's daily turnover. Foreign participation accounted for more than 85% of sales and 49% of the purchasers.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.16%, USD 1.59m

The Semdex continued to close in the negative territoty (-0.16%) again today. The banking heavyweight MCBG (-1.5%) accounted for 60% of the total market turnover while SBMH closed (-0.8%, Rs7.60)

Nigeria: ASI+2.43%, USD 20.8m

The market closed in the green today with Dangcem (+7.26%) lifting the market higher. There was also an off market trade of 416m shares @ NGN 210, with a foreign buyer and local seller. Ex the off market cross in Dangcem, the major trades on the day were crosses in Guaranty ($2.8m), Intbrew ($2.2m), Zenith ($2.2m) and Stanbic ($1.7m).

Some activity in Seed Co ($238k) the only name worth mentioning on an otherwise dull day in Harare.
