A very quiet day in Kenya with the most active stocks in the market being Safcom which closed at KES24.75 (+2.06%) with $360k trading in the name, Equity (unch, KES43.00) and Centum(-0.37%, KES42.75). The rest of the counters were extremely quiet..

Mauritius: Semdex +0.01%, USD 1.64m

Trading was driven by foreign crosses in MCB (unch, Rs268) which accounted for 62% of exchanges today.

Nigeria: ASI -0.91%, USD 17.42m

A very impressive day Loagos today all thanks to some large crosses in the likes of Guaranty (+3.04%, $6.8m), Dangcem (-4.17%, $2.6m), Betaglass (+4.38%, $1.6m) and Zenith (-1.15%, $1.5m). Banking stocks had a solid day, but it must be said that there was a sell-off from the day's highs into the close as the sector closed +0.80% higher and consumers saw a +0.73% increase.
