Some serious action in Gaborone today with two counters driving the market. Letlole (2.21t, $3.78m) and Sefalana (11.15t, $4.75m) accounting for 43% and 54% of the market respectively.

Kenya: NSE 20 -1.31%, USD 6.75m

A slight improvement on the Kenya stock exchange today as Kenol(-5.79%, KES15.45), Equity (-0.58%, KES43.00) and Safcom (unch, KES24.25) dropped or remained unchanged. We saw red flash across most of the board with foreign selling accounting for 44.3% and buying up slightly from the previous day’s trading to 54.8%.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.46%, USD 4.51m

A good way to end the day in Port Louis with a cross of 484.2k shares going through in MCBG (unch, Rs268) accounting for to 31% of turnover.

Nigeria: ASI +1.66%, USD 13.35m

Another positive day in Lagos with the financial sector closing 3.97% higher and consumers down 0.63%. Massive crosses in Zenith (+6.61%, N24.53), Guaranty (+6.47%, N39.50), Dangcem (+2.37%, N225.00) and UBA (+0.54%, N9.35) to end the week on a high note.

Tanzania: DSEI -9.12%, USD 40k

The volumes were majorly driven by CRDB again today which closed at TZS200 with accounting for 65% of turnover. Small volumes traded in TBL (TZS13000) and DSE (TZS1400.)

Zimbabwe: Industrial +0.69%, USD 293k

The market closed the short week on a quiet note with ZB ($100k) accounting significantly to the total turnover. The industrial index went up by 1.46 points to close the day in green amid gains in Delta ($1.282) and Econet (4.25c).
