Nothing to report from Gaborone.
Nothing remarkable to note from the Semdex today. As usual, the lion’s share of the action went through in MCBG (+1.3%, Rs270)
A very impressive day on the Nigerian bourse today all thanks to some large crosses in the likes of NB (+3.05%, $5.9m), Guaranty (+0.33%, $2.7m), Zenith (+0.40%, $2m) and Access (+0.10%, $1.2m). Banking stocks had a solid day, but it must be said that there was a sell-off from the day's highs into the close as the sector closed +0.20% higher thanks to NB (N181.00). Consumers saw a +2.18% rise also closing in positive territory on low volume.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
Nothing overly exciting to report from Harare
