Another blockbuster day in Gaborone today with Chobe ($1.77m) being 66% of total market turnover followed by FNBB ($756k) and Letshego ($80k) seeing the rest of the counters extremely quiet.
Safcom (-1.87%, KES26.25) leading the way on the Nairobi bourse today with almost a half of the market amounting to $2.50m. Other counters worth noting were EABL (-0.38%, KES262.00) and KCB (unch, KES42.25). Once again foreign investors out played the locals with 70% of the market sales.
Turnover for the day amounted to Rs43.7m, another decent day thanks to the usual suspect MCBG almost 70% of the market as 110k shares changed hands in the name while there was also some action in MDIT as 494k shares traded.
Activity picked up slightly from yesterday with some small activity in DANGCEM (-3.82%, $1.8m), Nestle (unch, $1.6m), Access (-3.9%, $902k) as well as a chunky cross in UBA (-1.46%, $777k). Banking stocks closed the day lower with the sector falling -0.77%, with some pressure on Access (-3.90%) and FBNH (-3.57%).

The industrial index edged up while turnover dropped with some activity in Delta ($90k), Padenga ($64k) and PPC ($59k) the only names worth mentioning.
