Dull day in Gaborone as value traded fell to USD 120k with some small action in Letshego (341k shares).

Egypt: Closed for the day.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.02%, USD 4.63m

Very quiet in Nairobi as value traded amounted to $4.63m as foreign investors were all but absent. ICDC was the days most active stock as a total of 2.16m shares traded over the day. There was some foreign activity in KNCB as the name closed unchanged on 1.58m shares. Locals dominated proceedings in COOP as 3.61m shares traded.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.11%, USD 500k

Very quiet in Port Louis today as value traded amounted to USD 500k with Ciel (500k shares) and NMH (39k shares) driving activity. There was nothing on the go in MCBG and SBM.

Nigeria: ASI +0.81%, USD 20m

A rather slow day to end the week in Lagos as value traded amounted to $20m. There were some crosses in the likes of GTB ($4.66m), DangCem ($1.95m) and Oando ($1.92m) which drove activity. Banks had a solid day and managed to close higher with the Index gaining +0.76% thanks to ETI (+4.97%) and GTB (+1.34%). Consumers (+0.15%) closed higher with IntBrew (+1.55%) and NB (+0.87%) having good days.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.10%, USD 1.01m

Activity remained stable in Harare as value traded amounted to USD 1.01m thanks to Econet ($594k) and Dairibord ($113k). The market closed the day slightly higher with the Industrial Index gaining +0.10%.
