Nothing to report from Gaborone.
A quiet end to the week in Kenya although the index continues its bullish run. Today was the turn of EABL to lead the turnover charts with the brewer closing 42bps higher at KES239.00. Safcom also saw some decent trading and rose by 1.16% to KES21.75. The rest of the market was quiet.
An average day to end the week in Port Louis with MCBG the only name showing any form of decent activity as 99k shares changed hands in the name.
Another rather active day in Lagos with Banks (+4.43%) particularly on fire ahead of the long weekend. Most Tier 1 banking names ended the day net bid at limit up. There was also decent volumes seen in GTB (+5.00%, N35.28), Access (+3.97%, N7.59), Zenith Bank (+4.99%, N19.13) and UBA (+2.74%, N7.50). There was hardly any focus paid to the consumers as the sector ticked up by 14bps on small volumes.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
A very impressive day to end the week in Harare on the activity front thanks to crosses in Seedco ($787k) and Econet ($665k).
