Botswana: DCI -0.03%, USD 8.1m

It was all about Letshego today as 29.8m shares traded in the name thanks to a very large cross of 22.6m shares (initially) while the rest of the market was very quiet.

Kenya: NSE 20 Index +0.12%, USD 3.7m

Another very quiet day in Nairobi with turnover amounting to $3.7m as locals continue to sit on the sidelines. Some foreign action drove proceedings in KNCB as 3.4m shares changed hands in the name. There were a few crosses in the usually illiquid Centum as 1.5m shares traded. EQBNK and Safcom were very quiet as 847k shares and 1.6m shares traded in the names respectively.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.02%, USD 1.4m

Activity returned to the Mauritian bourse today thanks to a cross in the normally illiquid Rockcastle (+13.2%, Rs2.40) while normal trading remains dull.

Nigeria: ASI +0.99%, USD 15.3m

A better day in Lagos, but still nothing to write home about as turnover amounted to $15.3m with some activity in GTB ($6.4m), FBNH ($1.6m) and Zenith ($1.4m). Banks had a solid day with the sector gaining +1.20% thanks to Access (+3.95%), UBA (+3.50%) and ETI (+1.85%). Consumers (+1.46%) also managed to close higher with good performances in NB (+3.45%) and Guinness (+0.55%).

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.27%, USD 414k

Today it was the turn of Delta (70.01c) as more than 510k shares changed hands in the name. Econet remains stable at 18c.
