As usual the bulk of the action was focused on the large caps. There was a chunky foreign cross in EABL (+40bps, KES275) early on while throughout the session we saw decent action in Equity Bank (unch, KES41.50) and Safcom (-1%, KES15.55). The rest of the market was exceptionally quiet.

A rather dull day to end the week in Port Louis with turnover amounting to $880k. Some small activity in MCBG (49k shares) the only name worth mentioning.

Nigeria: ASI +0.26%, USD 8.5m

A dull end to a dull week in Lagos. The banks gained 64bps today with the only action taking place in GTB (+10bps, N19.99). The consumers ended the session marginally in the red with Nestle (+2.23%, N825.00) and NB (-83bps, N119.00) seeing some action. The rest of the market was uneventful.

Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.

A very solid day to end the week from an activity point of view with turnover amounting to $1.2m thanks to some action in Delta ($1.2m) while the rest of the market was dead quiet.
