Not much to report from Nairobi as locals dominated proceedings with turnover amounting to $3m. Locals dominated both sides of EQBNK as 5m shares traded in the name thanks to a large cross. The usual heavyweights were very quiet with not much on the go in Safcom (2.9m shares), EABL (53k shares) and KNCB (169k shares).
Nothing to report from Port Louis with turnover amounting to a dull $300k.
A rather average start to the week in Lagos after the long weekend with some activity in Sterling Bank ($4.5m), Zenith ($2.4m), GTB ($1.8m) and Access ($1.5m). Banks closed the day lower with the sector falling -0.95% with weakness in UBA (-4.86%) and GTB (-3.45%). Consumers (-1.28%) were also weaker thanks to GSK (-5.00%) and Unilever (-4.95%).

Not a bad day in Harare (relatively speaking ) as turnover amounted to $885k thanks to some action in Padenga ($459k) and Old Mutual ($132k).
