Another uneventful day with some scrappy trading on Barclays (487t) about the only real action.
An exceptionally quiet day in Nairobi. The only stock that showed any modicum of activity was Safcom which closed unchanged at KES20.00.
An extremely quiet day in Port Louis with the needle hardly moving at all. The most active name on the day was Ciel (+30bps, Rs6.00).
The only word one can use to describe the Nigeria bourse currently is pathetic. Every day is the same as the index ambles along quietly with no direction. Banks closed the day down 2.34% with activity once again led by GTB (-3.56%, N24.10) and Zenith Bank (-3.66%, N15.00). Consumers were broadly unchanged and extremely quiet.
Please note that the index figure above is correct at the time of writing.
The ZSE once again is showing signs of some embers sparking below the surface as volumes try to return. Activity today was dominated by Delta (60c), Econet (19.5c) and Innscor (24c).
