Botswana: DCI -0.05%, USD 741k

Some action in Choppies the only name worth mentioning as 1.5m shares changed hands while the rest of the market was rather quiet.

Kenya: Closed for the day.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.15%, USD 3.6m

Another impressive day in Port Louis thanks to a large cross in CIEL as 11.7m shares changed hands in the name, while MCBG (181k shares) was also very active.

Nigeria: ASI +0.44%, USD 12.6m

A much better day in Lagos, but still well below historic norms, thanks to a decent cross in Seplat ($8.2m) while there was also some small activity in GTB ($1.3m). Banking stocks managed to close firmly in positive territory with the sector gaining +1.83% thanks to GTB (+5.11%) after the bank released Q3 2016 results. Consumers (+0.12%) closed slightly higher on very low volume.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +2.99%, USD 1.4m

The rally continues in Harare on local demand while activity continues to impress thanks to some action in Delta ($986k), GetBucks ($186k) and Innscor ($141k).
