Nothing to report from Gaborone as activity completely slowed down on the last trading day of the week.
The NSE 20 closed the week higher as foreign participation in Safaricom and EABL dominated the turnover, both accounting for a total of 60% of turnover. Foreign participation on the day was up to 65% from 46%.
An average day in Port Louis with most of the action in ENL (unch, Rs41.70), NIT (+1.9%, Rs24.50) and Ciel (unch, Rs7.16) together accounted for 63% of turnover. MCBG (-0.7%, Rs270) closed lower today after a week of gaining.
A quiet day to end the week in Nigeria, as the index closed higher on the day. Zenith, Guaranty and Nestle all accounted for a total of 45% of turnover.
