Botswana: DCI -0.09%, USD 21.04k

A dull way to end the week in Gaborone with BTCL ($7.33k) accounting for the a third of total market turnover. Barclays ($5.12k) and Letshego ($3.27k) were the other two names that contributed little volume on the day.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.30%, USD 3.64m

The market closed the week in the negative territory, as foreign participation dropped to 49% from 71%. EABL, Safcom, KNCB and NICB were the stocks with the highest turnover, all accounting for 78% of total market turnover.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.44%, USD 1.53m

MCBG (+0.2%, Rs278.50) clipped higher again today on thin volume. SBMH (+1.0%, Rs7.98) was dominated by foreign purchases. Both the Semdex (+0.44%) and the Sem-10 (+0.24%) closed the week higher.

Nigeria: ASI -0.33%, USD 39.5m

The market closed the week on a negative note as profit taking dominated the action in the Banks (-2.23%), which was the only index that closed lower. The top four trades by turnover were all banks, Guaranty, Zenith, FBNH and Access, all accounting for 52% of turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -1.98%, USD 1.05m

The market closed lower for the third consecutive session on average turnover. Major losses were recorded in BATZ, Innscor, Mash and Padenga. While Delta ($420k), Innscor ($270k), Hippo ($173k) and OML ($117k) dominated turnover.
