Kenya: NSE 20 -0.08%, USD 8.58m

It was another negative day in Kenya, as turnover increased to USD 8.58m and foreign participation was at 52%. Safcom and Equity Bank once again dominated the turnover, accounting for a total of almost 40% of turnover.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.20%, USD 99k

A massive decline from yesterday’s booming activity with MCBG and MOROIL accounting for 64% of the market. MCBG trading at Rs276.00 continued its downward drift declining by 0.9% while MOROIL was unchanged trading at Rs30.00, ENL Land and IBL both followed suit trading at Rs43.50 and Rs47.50 respectively as the rest of the market was extremely quiet.

Nigeria: ASI -0.99%, USD 18.4m

The Industrials and Financials dragged the index lower as profit taking still dominates Nigeria. Zenith and Guaranty were the most active names, accounting for almost half of the turnover on the day.

Zimbabwe: Industrials +0.32%, USD 1.67m

Another decent day in Harare as market movement was spread across the board with the usual suspects coming out to play. PPC (80.14c, $463k) accounted for 28% of total market turnover while the likes of Seed Co ($319k), Old Mutual (500.00c, $289k), Delta (165.11c, $238k) and Econet (70.00c, $217k) contributed to the activity on the bourse.
