Botswana: DCI -0.05%, USD 199.89k

A slight improvement on the Botswana stock exchange today as Letshego dominated turnover accounting for 73% of the volume.

Kenya: NSE 20 +0.8%, USD 57.9m

The market ended the week on a positive note as foreign participation went up to 96%, on the back of a foreign cross in KNOC which accounted for 91% of total market turnover.

Mauritius: Semdex -0.01%, USD 740k

Not the best way to end the week in Port Louis as investors returned to trading after Tropical Cyclone Berguitta subsided. MCBG declined 0.1% trading at Rs280.00 accounting for almost half of today’s turnover while ENL Land (+0.7%, Rs41.95), Ciel (-0.3%, Rs7.24), NMH (0.2%, Rs26.20) and Lux (unch, Rs69.25) all had semi decent days.

Nigeria: ASI +0.54%, USD 23.95m

It was a positive end to the week in Nigeria, with the Banks once again dominating the gains. All the top 4 gainers and top 5 value traded names on the day were banks. Guaranty, Zenith and First Bank accounted for 37% of turnover.
