Botswana: DCI -0.01%, USD 146k

A some what decent day in Gaborone all thanks to the likes of FNBB ($128k) which accounted for 88% of the turnover while the rest of the market was extremely qiuet.

Kenya: NSE 20 -0.08%, USD 6.5m

The positive streak in Kenya came to a halt as market turnover and foreign participation declined to 6.5m and 39% respectively. Safcom and Equity Bank were the 2 most active names on the day, accounting for almost half of the turnover on the day.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.12%, USD 4.29m

An impressive day in Port Louis as the indices were up for the 3rd consecutive session. The action was mostly thanks to the newly listed MCBG Unsecured notes that made up 64% of turnover. MCBG (-0.5%, Rs278.50) was dominated by foreign sales. While banking peer SBMH was unchanged at Rs7.80.

Nigeria: ASI -0.96%, USD 14.4m

It was another negative day in Nigeria, with the Financials closing in the red to bring the index 96bps lower. Guaranty, Fbnh and Zenith dominated the action on the day accounting for 55% of turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.45%, USD 2.1m

The industrial index retreated again today to close the day 1.39 points weaker. Activity was dominated by Econet ($919k), PPC ($387k), OML ($253k), Delta ($233k).
