Kenya: NSE 20 +0.2%, USD 5.2m

The market reversed the negative start to the week by closing 0.2% higher, with foreign participation still below the 50% mark. Safcom dominated the trading on the day, accounting for 40% of turnover, as its price was 0.9%.

Mauritius: Semdex +0.04%, USD 1.17m

Another strong day in Mauritius as MCBG continues to pump. The banking group rose by a further 0.4% to Rs280.25 on chunky volumes. There was also some activity in SBMH (-1.0%, Rs7.88).

Nigeria: ASI +2.17%, USD 21.2m

The market started continued its positive start to the week, with all indices, except the industrials, closing higher on the day. The Banks dominated the gains, closing 3.92% higher, as most of the banks closed above 5%. The Banks also dominated the turnover on the day, as Access, Guaranty, FBNH, Zenith and UBA all accounted for 66% of total market turnover.

Zimbabwe: Industrials -0.89%, USD 1.3m

The major action took place in Delta after releasing Q3 trading update, stating that revenue is up +24% and +9% for Q3 and the 9-month period respectively. There was also some small activity in Hippo, PPC, OML and Innscor.
